Benchmarking

A measured approach

Benchmarking is a vital part of establishing what needs improving in a factory, and how to improve it. Our benchmarking process examines each individual business function – from planning, production control, engineering and improvement cycle effectiveness, to labour control, new product development, technical, hygiene
and purchasing.

Some departments will be operating to world-class standards, some will have plans in place to achieve this level, and others will be out of control and require rapid turnaround. Using comparisons to similar factories in the same sector, our two day benchmarking programme involves management and operator teams in assessing the performance of each department, highlighting strengths and weaknesses and identifying the greatest opportunities for improvement.
