Increased OTIF and reduced changeovers
We help our clients overcome the challenges of achieving On Time in Full delivery (OTIF), or where this is not essential, to reduce delivery costs without affecting performance. Improving forecast accuracy, optimising the schedule and establishing the ideal stock holding results in both better service and significant financial savings.
Through detailed modelling we create an ideal process plan identifying the problems that need to be resolved to achieve this, whilst incorporating the correct measurement criteria to ensure that progress is being made. We then develop the ideal scheduling procedures and train production staff in the skills they need to deliver sustained improvement.
Our quantifiable successes include a 30% reduction in changeovers and finished goods stocks for a bakery, an OTIF increase from 95% to 99% for a medical packing and distribution company, and a new quality procedure installed for a chilled and frozen foods manufacturer giving an additional day’s shelf life.
