Lee Bartholomew BSc CEng FIMechE CDir MIoD

Lee has over 35 years' experience in the rail industry in both the public and private sectors. He has managed businesses delivering a wide range of products and services including maintenance and testing of rolling stock, the design, construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure, and engineering consultancy.

He has held executive and non-executive board level appointments for train operating companies, engineering consultancies and international support services businesses.

Lee is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Director, as well as an active member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Directors. He joined Newton as a Senior Advisor in June 2012.


Tim Dugher BSc CEng FIMechE

Tim joined Newton as a Senior Advisor in June 2012, bringing with him over 30 years' experience across the industry. Throughout his career Tim has worked in a number of roles across the sector, holding various executive positions.

He began his career as a technical apprentice in the eastern region of British Rail. Tim has also worked as a shift manager followed by a depot manager at British Rail, before joining Angel Trains, where he ended his corporate career as the Chief Operating Officer.

Tim is now the Chairman of the Railway Industry Supplier Approval Scheme and is still actively involved in the progression of the industry, making him a valuable addition to the Newton advisory board.
