Lead Consultants manage a team of operational consultants looking to find improvements in a client’s business. Throughout a programme of change Lead Consultants are responsible for leading key areas of the project (workstreams), managing a small team of Newton consultants and working closely with the client team.

  • Supporting Newton’s senior leadership on the delivery of pre-sale client assessments and tender documents
  • Leading the design and successful delivery of project workstreams
  • Setting change KPIs and being responsible for ensuring these are achieved
  • Designing and delivering a communications plan for impacted client teams to ensure implementation is successful
  • Owning one or two key client relationships within a project


  • Managing teams of at least 2-5 graduate and senior consultants on a project workstream
  • Holding responsibility for the wellbeing of the team including individual development and coaching
  • Acting as a Development Manager for up to 4 people in various areas of the business


  • Influencing others to develop and progress through demonstration of exemplary attitudes and values
  • Starting to influence and improve internal processes within Newton including delivering training


  • Identifying future opportunities by becoming a central figure in account planning
  • Creating compelling case for changes as part of programmes and for future work
  • Designing programmes for clients to buy


  • Exceptional skills within leading and developing teams of at least 2-5
  • Excellent analytical skills to deliver fact not opinion by finding the root cause of a problem
  • Experience in leading challenging projects using consistently proven change management and programme management skills to deliver excellence
  • Considers client relationship building as a key part of the job
  • Has led successful teams through individual development and coaching and encourages others to do so
  • A desire to continually self-develop


  • Lifestyle - we work on-site with our clients in diverse locations, you will be expected to work onsite at client locations for the duration of your projects. During this time all reasonable expenses will be covered. At Newton, we look after our people and we don’t work weekends
