WHAT IS THE ROLE?

Newton’s continued growth is a testament to our proven approach and the success of our client work, but we are not ready to stop there. We are building on this by investing in and expanding our marketing team to meet the challenges of the next phase of growth. The potential of this is hugely exciting as it will set Newton on the right course to double in size over the next few years.

We’re looking for an experienced Digital Channel Manager to work alongside our leadership and people to develop our digital footprint and help drive our ambitious growth trajectory. Responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for the performance and success of Newton’s corporate digital channels (website and social media)
  • Develop a digital marketing strategy in partnership with target audience leads across our brand and marketing teams to build Newton’s digital presence in a way that supports commercial success.
  • The first phase of the role will involve designing and managing a Website Development Programme in line with a company rebrand; setting and delivering against monthly objectives.
  • Lead and drive the governance around the day-to-day management of our website including overarching programme visibility, coordination of content development across target audience leads, and managing / refining website briefing and change implementation processes. Enable client marketing and talent attraction campaign delivery based on ongoing business needs.
  • Manage external digital suppliers on technical, content and design delivery.
  • Establish and embed workflow and best practices including accessibility standards.
  • Digital channel reporting, resource & budget management.

YOUR EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

This is a stretching role for a Digital Channel Manager with experience from the professional services environment. You will be a change agent who will not shy away from big challenges and have the drive and creativity to develop a compelling digital programme and carry it through.

You’ll be a high calibre individual, with exceptional levels of personal drive and eagerness for personal development. An analytical mind coupled with strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential to fit into the Newton culture.

You will have at least seven years relevant digital channel management experience within similar roles. During your application process we will be looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Substantial experience as a Digital Channel Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, or similar role with proven experience of scoping and delivering significant website development projects, commissioning and managing external digital suppliers
  • To succeed in this role, you will have fantastic relationship building skills with the ability to influence matrix-style across multiple levels of seniority, expertise and digital capability
  • You will have expertise as an online content creator and editor with knowledge of accessibility standards in digital communications
  • Sound technical knowledge of CMS technologies, preferably headless systems (e.g. Contentful), HTML & CSS.
  • Experience working with both design & development teams, and understanding technical constraints
  • Sound understanding of UX/UI design tools
  • Experience of integrating websites with CRM
  • Proven track record in complex programme / project management
  • Experience in B2B digital communications, website development and management are essential. Experience in management consulting / professional services environments preferred.
  • Analytical skills with a great attention to detail.

We offer hybrid working arrangements with a split between home working and an average of 2 days per week at our office or other location to meet with Newton colleagues.
