Joining our People Team in our Head Office at a time where we are growing on average 20% per annum, will enable you to grow your career just as fast! This role will be based in our Head Office, and you’ll be able to work from home 3-4 times per week. You’ll join us in Sept 2023, but we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to be best placed in securing your offer with us. 

What you’ll do

You’ll be joining our HR Operations function. Following your two-week induction, you will have the opportunity to rotate through two other areas of the business to help broaden your knowledge and experience different sides of the People Team. These rotations will be in the Graduate Recruitment team and Experienced Hire Recruitment team. This will help to broaden your skillset and bring transferrable skills to our landing role and following these rotations you will join the HR Operations team permanently.

Core responsibilities you’ll have the chance to own in HR Operations involve:

  • You’ll play a crucial role in supporting and developing a first-class HR Service for our growing business. Day to day, this will include giving sound advice and escalating to the HR Adviser and the HR Manager where appropriate. You’ll be dedicated to dealing with and organising employee data confidentially and discreetly.

  • Owning improvement cycles for new starters, leavers and promotions. Working to ensure our people feel valued and supported. At Newton, we welcome new ideas to make our policy or process more efficient, we’d love to see you have the drive to offer these ideas!

  • You’ll be uniquely placed to develop your knowledge of employment law and casework. The scope of different aspects of HR employee relations cases you will be involved with will be the best way to learn and have a holistic understanding of what a career in HR looks like

How will we develop and reward you?

During your two-week induction, you will partake in various activities to help fully immerse you into your team and the wider business. These onboarding sessions will include Presentation Skills, Excel training and networking with the other graduates in your cohort. Beyond your induction, your development will continue. You’ll have a dedicated and consistent Development Manager to support your career progression and receive regular appraisals and annual pay reviews. You will also have a Line Manager, who will be available to give you guidance and support throughout your learning journey with stretching projects and on-the-job feedback.

We offer a highly competitive salary and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 25 days’ holiday. Your overall starting package will be £33,000-£36,000 per annum plus a £3,000 joining bonus. Joining us also brings many social benefits!
