WHAT IS THE ROLE?

The employer brand coordinator works within the Employer Brand team to help position Newton’s reputation as an employer. The coordinator supports the planning and delivery of the campaigns that we take to market, and the ongoing communications to attract the right type of candidates, across Experienced Hire and Graduate audiences.

Building and managing an organisation’s reputation as an employer has been proven to demonstrably increase the quality of individuals we hire, the level of engagement that existing employees have and, ultimately, can be shown to assist in the profitability of the organisation overall.

Developing a coherent, compelling and relevant employer brand is therefore a vital part of our ongoing people strategy.

As part of the strategy, the key roles and responsibilities for the employer brand specialist are as follows:

General responsibilities:

Ensure that we present the whole story of what it is like to work at Newton across multiple channels. Help deliver externally-facing content that conveys the qualities of working at Newton including press activity, videos, web copy, job boards adverts, emails and social media posts. This includes:

Project management and delivery support for the Employer Brand team. Particular day to day responsibilities include the following:

  • Understand the employer branding proposition and ensure it is implemented across our comms activities
  • Support Experienced Hire and Graduate campaign in the planning and delivery of campaign plans
  • Organise content and asset creation (video, artwork, copy, social posts) for roll out internally and externally
  • Work closely with external creative and comms agencies to deliver the campaign plans along with high quality assets or collateral
  • Coordinate regular key internal and supplier meetings

Key responsibilities

There are some key channels that require on-going support and monitoring to ensure that Newton maintains an ‘always on’ and consistence presence.

Social media

Support employer brand advocate programme, sharing content to employees

  • Coordinate social media activities, planning identifying content ideas, liaising with internal contributors and external agencies to produce authentic and timely content
  • Monitoring activities across key channels, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Glassdoor, with a timely response to any engagement
  • Support the internal brand advocates programme through the creation of a regular comms update
  • Monitor performance of posts and regularly report.

Digital channels

  • Manage ongoing maintenance of employer brand web pages, working closely to coordinate design and development agencies
  • Manage the planning and creation of email marketing activities, including creating templates and writing copy, and managing the database via the CRM system (Hubspot)
  • Monitor performance of our key digital channels (web pages, podcast, email marketing, social and advertising) and produce a performance report on a monthly basis

Events

  • Work with the recruitment teams to manage on-line and in-person events, including creation of branding, collateral and relevant pre- and post event communications.
