Graduate Recruitment Coordinator

The details

Are you excited by the prospect of providing life changing opportunities to graduates?

Are you looking for a role that is super varied, a team that supports your learning, and a company that loves data-driven decision making?

Then we have just the role for you!

You will join the amazing Graduate Recruitment Team, to assist, roll out and plan our graduate activities. This is a small team, with 4 of the brightest minds working collaboratively to ensure targets are met and improvements are implemented. You will have responsibility from day one, with clear ownership areas and you will never be far away from a helping hand from the team

Newton is growing at an annual rate of 20% and 70% of our new starters are graduates, so you will have a direct influence on the growth of the business. There’s possibly no better way to interact and build relationships with such a large proportion of the business than be the door into their Newton journey! This year we placed 44th in the Times Top 100 Employers and Top 10 at Durham, Cambridge, and Bristol. Pretty impressive for a company of 500 people and only 20 years young!

This isn’t your usual recruitment role; you won’t be subject to reading through CV’s or cover letters, instead you’ll be responsible for all hands-on graduate recruitment activities across the business. No two days will be the same. You’ll help create impactful attraction campaigns, use data analysis to drive performance throughout our campaign, and you’ll work and engage with candidates, suppliers, and senior leaders at Newton.

At Newton there is always the opportunity to get involved in our culture and community forums. For example, if you are passionate about diversity and social mobility, you can join our brilliant networks; Wome-N, N-pride, Ethnicity network and the Newton Foundation. Our people are what set us apart from other businesses. We have a genuinely social calendar where the whole company gathers fortnightly to workshop and resolve challenges, and most of all have a lot of fun. You will be invited to 6 Newton-sponsored weekends a year, and a 3-day Summer Party in Cornwall.

So, what’s in it for you? You’ll receive a competitive salary, with generous regular appraisals, promotions and salary increases. Our significant growth means you can grow with us. This role is no exception. The prospects for career progression here could have avenues into our Human Resources and People Development teams. Furthermore, half of our recruitment team have been promoted in the last 6 months, with that number set to grow.

We understand what our employees want in terms of working arrangements. So, we operate under a hybrid working approach with an average of 3-4 days per week working from home.

What do we need from you? We’d love you to be eager in using data to inform and justify recruitment decisions. Your work will be of high quality, coupled with clear communication skills to inspire candidates and to work with various stakeholders within Newton. We’re passionate about our feedback culture, therefore you will have the eagerness for self-improvement and adaptability.

This is an entry level role, no prior experience in related roles is required! Though, we will recognise any prior experience in recruitment, administration, events, or customer service. Recent graduates are welcomed and encouraged to apply, to quickly accelerate your career in a business that recognises and rewards your strengths and achievements.
