Are you passionate about EDI and social mobility? Then joining us as a Recruitment Graduate will be the perfect role for you.

This isn’t your usual recruitment role; you won’t be subject to reading through CV’s or cover letters. Instead, you’ll be at the front end of us driving our business growth.

Joining our People Team in our Head Office at a time where we are growing on average 20% per annum, will enable you to grow your career just as fast! This role will be based in our Head Office, and you’ll be able to work from home 3-4 times per week. You’ll join us in Sept 2023, but we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to be best placed in securing your offer with us. 

What you’ll do

You will join aligned to the Recruitment Team. Following your two-week induction, you will rotate into HR Operations to help broaden your knowledge. This will help to broaden your skillset and bring transferrable skills to our landing role. Following these rotations, you will join the team you’re aligned with permanently.

You’ll join either our Graduate Recruitment or Experienced Hire Teams. They both play a pivotal role in driving Newton’s ambitious growth plans. You’ll be at the front end of this process, making sure that candidates see a window into our business that helps inform them about their career choices. You will have a chance to rotate through both teams and will then land in the function that aligns with your skills and the business need permanently.

In Graduate Recruitment…

  • You will join the amazing Graduate Recruitment Team, to assist, roll out and plan our graduate activities. This is a small team working collaboratively to ensure targets are met and improvements are implemented. What this means is, you will have responsibility from day one, with clear ownership areas. But support and development are valued so highly, that you will never be far away from a helping hand.

  • The work will be varied and so two days will be the same. You’ll help create impactful attraction campaigns, use data analysis to drive performance throughout our campaign, and you’ll work and engage with candidates, suppliers, and senior leaders at Newton

  • We're looking for you to have the drive and passion to share their ideas in how we can keep improving our recruitment process. We expect you to add value throughout, advising and challenging our decisions to make sure they are the right ones 

In Experienced Hire Recruitment…

  • You’ll be working alongside our fabulous Experienced Hire teams to increase our direct hiring process, playing a pivotal role in our strategic resourcing decisions. This could be through marketing mapping analysis, talent intelligence or developing non-traditional sourcing strategies.

  • You’ll be at the forefront of influence hiring decisions by conducting market research through; conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for Newton to leverage as part of our attraction campaigns. You will collate a range of data including pay, benefits, job titles, bonus and salary review dates, etc.

  • You’ll be supporting our attraction teams to ensure we have a steady flow of quality candidates, working closely with our dedicated employer brand team to relay our outstanding recruitment content and employee value proposition

How we will develop and reward you

During your two-week induction, you will partake in various activities to help fully immerse you into your team and the wider business. These onboarding sessions will include Presentation Skills, Excel training and networking with the other graduates in your cohort. Beyond your induction, your development will continue. You’ll have a dedicated and consistent Development Manager to support your career progression and receive regular appraisals and annual pay reviews. You will also have a Line Manager, who will be available to give you guidance and support throughout your learning journey with stretching projects and on-the-job feedback.

We offer a highly competitive salary and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 25 days’ holiday. Your overall starting package will be £33,000-£36,000 per annum plus a £3,000 joining bonus. Joining us also brings many social benefits! We have a full social calendar with Autumn and Spring activity days, Christmas events, 3-day Summer event and 6 Newton-sponsored weekends a year. 

What we look for in you:  

You’ll be a high calibre individual, with exceptional levels of personal drive and eagerness for personal development. An analytical mind, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. To apply for the Recruitment Graduate role, you’ll be on your way to, or have achieved, a graduate level qualification. We don’t look for you to have any studied any particular university course, but we will want you to demonstrate that you have a keen interest in Recruitment, HR or Employer Brand.
