WHAT IS THE ROLE?

This role is critical in helping us achieve this. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, and leading the creation of our Talent & Organisational Development team, you will be accountable for the design and delivery of the talent development strategy that underpins our performance and future growth trajectory, in line with our purpose and values.

The specific accountabilities of this role are:

  • Accountable for the design and execution of Newton’s talent development strategy underpinning performance and our growth trajectory
  • Designing the learning framework that supports the growth and measurement of key functional competencies and Leadership behaviours for success
  • Leading the provision of functional skill and leadership development solutions, supported by a clear strategy on the use of external and internal facilitation and content development support
  • Actively engaging with external networks to bring best practice and innovative thinking into the talent development space.
  • Acting as the sponsor for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion within our EDI network
  • Leading the reinforcement of inclusive employment practices and our framework for the coaching and development of inclusive behaviours
  • Leading insight supporting our organisation, designing career pathways and leading the governance framework supporting promotions
  • Designing the process for performance evaluation and measurement
  • Leading succession planning activity and Director/Partner talent pipelining. 
  • Leading talent assessment and onboarding solutions for experienced hires.

YOUR EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You’ll be a high calibre individual, with exceptional levels of personal drive and eagerness for personal development. You will have demonstrable experience of designing and delivery Talent Development strategy in a professional services environment, and have a strong understanding of competency frameworks and career pathways within a consulting firm. You will have experience of designing Leadership programmes with support of third parties and be a seasoned facilitator of learning experience, able to coach and develop this skill in others. You will be bubbling over with passion and excitement about the opportunity this role has to unleash potential in our gifted community, and be attuned to how best to achieve this inclusively within our diverse population. You will be open to creativity, innovation and big picture thinking, balancing this against analytical insight. You will be open to measured risk, and encourage empowerment and point accountability within your team. You will be solution-oriented, as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to solve challenges with your team as you are engaging with our Operating Board.
