My unexpected journey SAM LOMBARD CAME TO US IN 2021, WITH WIDE-RANGING EXPERIENCE IN THE ENGINEERING SECTOR
Sam's fascination with flight may have influenced his choice of degree. But back in 2005, he could never have known where it would lead. Ultimately, of course, it brought him here to Newton. But with plenty of exciting twists and turns along the way.
2005I studied Aeronautical Engineering at university
2009I started my career with the Ministry of Defence as a graduate Engineer
2012I loved the work but wanted more and faster, so moved to the private sector and a strategy consulting role
2015I then joined a FTSE 100 engineering company, as part of a small consulting team focused on the defence sector
2018Keen to try running a business, next I took on a leadership role with an engineering supply chain company
2021I joined Newton as a Principal Consultant, where I now deliver change for clients in a different – more sustainable – way
