Better information visibility improves service profitability and quality of patient care. At Newton we have developed award-winning, ground-breaking, user-friendly technology that has helped Trusts achieve improved care and savings. Deployed as part of an overall transformation programme, typical annualised financial benefits can range from £0.8 million to £2 million per NHS Trust, with full programmes delivering up to £10 million every year.
Most of the information needed to unlock cost savings within the healthcare sector already exists. Yet the power of this information and the story it tells is often unknown or underestimated. Our technology works to bring clarity and understanding to data and information.
Newton's PASplus+ healthcare system has been developed as a solution to maximise the productivity of vital A&E, theatre and outpatient facilities as well as improve patient care. Before considering introducing a new system like PASplus+, we ensure Trusts have first fully optimised their existing systems. Some ofNewton's largest programmes, which have resulted in multi-million pound savings, have not required any new technology.
An overview of our range:
PASPlus+ Theatres Reporting
This system shows three aspects of theatres reporting: Future booking to allow booking clerks to quickly locate spare capacity to ensure efficient scheduling of operations; live reporting showing activity in theatres in real-time; and performance reporting, which shows how well consultants have historically performed.
PASPlus+ Outpatients Reporting
This system shows two aspects of outpatients reporting: Future booking to allow booking clerks to quickly locate spare capacity to ensure efficient scheduling of appointments, and performance reporting which shows how well consultants have historically performed.
PASPlus+ Bed Management
This is a real-time interactive view of all patients currently in a hospital. Communicating with PAS and paired with electronic whiteboards on wards, it captures next steps, critical patient information and medically fit status, sharing this with other areas of the hospital.
This is a communication aid between wards and theatres. Knowing the average time it takes to transfer a patient between a certain ward and theatre prompts ward staff to starting preparing patients at suitable times prior to their procedure.
We are proud to be the only non-NHS organisation to win a HSJ award for efficiency in IT.
